More than 80 startup companies have been launched from NC State including industry giants such as SAS and promising new stars such as Galaxy Diagnostics. This has resulted in more than 6,500 jobs created – with 3,100 in North Carolina. Additionally, more than 150 products and services based on NC State intellectual property have been created and marketed. From disease-resistant foods to medical advances to educational innovations, NC State researchers have contributed to economic growth and the greater good.
