Dennis Kekas, Associate Vice Chancellor for the Office of Partnerships and Economic Development (OPED) on NC State’s Centennial Campus, received the Leadership Award at the Association of University Research Parks (AURP) annual conference in Oklahoma City last week for his “outstanding contribution to the success and total community impact of a university research and technology park.” OPED, a unit of ORIED, works to partner industry research with faculty researchers. “This award is well-deserved,” said Alan Rebar, Vice Chancellor of Research, Innovation and Economic Development. “Not only has Dennis led some of the most important developments on Centennial Campus, but he has been instrumental in developing and nurturing the collaborative partnerships that exist between NC State and our government and industry partners.”
