Amy Parker, New Ventures Program Coordinator for the Office of Technology Commercialization and New Ventures, was selected as one of twelve recipients of the University Awards for Excellence at the 2017 Recognition Ceremony held on June 9, 2017. The NC State University Awards for Excellence is the most prestigious honor bestowed upon non-faculty employees. These twelve recipients received $1,000, and will advance to the Governor’s Awards for Excellence level, which will include all state agencies. The Governor’s ceremony will be held on November 7.
Ms. Parker provides assistance to startup companies launched from NC State based on university intellectual property, works to support startups by managing the branding process for the company including the logo creation process and building the company website. She also assists in coordinating the events and meetings with strategic partners including the Council for Economic Development (CED), Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network (BEN) and planning and scheduling meetings and appointments including the Executive-in-Residence (XIR) program. Finally, Amy assists in grant writing opportunities and special projects
