Disk floret from the center of a Coreopsis composite flower. Note the pollen on top shown in cyan. This is a maximum intensity projection compiled from a series of images taken at different focus depth. For each focus depth 3 images were overlayed showing different parts of the emission color spectrum under blue and UV illumination (false colored for visual impact). No fluorescence stains were used. Equipment: Zeiss LSM 710. Field width: 1.2 mm.
