He manages the Spark Plug Program which aims to connect NC State startups with government funding. He serves as an NSF I-Corp instructor and works to build relationships with ecosystem partners.<\/p>\n<p>Zach began his career as a research engineer in the Nuclear Space Power Division at NASA. Prior to joining ORC, he worked in various roles in startups and business consulting.<\/p>\n<p>He has earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering, MS in Mechanical Engineering, and an MBA from NC State. As an undergrad, he was a member of the NC State Football team. Zach is also a licensed Professional Engineer.
