NIAID\u2019s Small Business Program Office and NC State University\u2019s Office of Research and Innovation are hosting a Small Business Workshop in Raleigh, NC on April 23rd and 24th.<\/p>\n
This workshop is open to all SBIR\/STTR stakeholders and any other innovators who are interested in starting new biomedical ventures. The goal of this event is to prepare current and next-generation of biomedical entrepreneurs to compete in the SBIR\/STTR programs administered by NIH. Attendees will learn potential opportunities and resources available for biomedical entrepreneurship and technology commercialization, in addition to receiving guidance needed to successfully develop a proposal, apply and manage NIH awards. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from federal staff, successful awardees, early stage investors and other industry experts!<\/p>\n
The agenda will include: overviews of the NIH, CDC and NSF SBIR\/STTR programs, an introduction to NIAID\u2019s Mission and priorities for product development, commercialization information, specific programs administered by NIAID and other NIH Institutes, application\/review processes, federal technology transfer and intellectual property, effective SBIR\/STTR grant\/proposal writing, panel discussions and one-on-one sessions.<\/p>","protected":false,"raw":"\n\n\n\n
