The candidate will support research in data sciences under the direction of Distinguished Professor David A. Bader, who serves as Director of the Institute for Data Science at New Jersey Institute of Technology.
A successful candidate will have a background in areas such as computer and data sciences, machine learning, algorithms and analytics, and parallel computing, and be able to apply these techniques on real-world grand challenge problems in areas such as FinTech, Health Informatics, and Cyber Security.
A PhD in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, applied math, or related field, is required. The candidate is expected to have mastery of C/C++ programming, strong oral and written communication skills, and interact with external sponsors.
