It offers consistent medium- to high-throughput extraction and purification of DNA, RNA, proteins, and cells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"DNA\/RNA-Sample-QC\">DNA\/RNA Sample QC Services<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Available at Main GSL Facility (Thomas Hall)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"ncst-fancy-paragraph-fifty is-text wp-block-ncst-fancy-paragraph\">\n      \n<div class=\"text-only wp-block-ncst-fp-accompaniment\">\n    \n\n<p><strong>Agilent 4200 Tapestation<\/strong><br><br>The GSL offers DNA sample QC on Agilent\u2019s newest TapeStation 4200 platform. This instrument performs size and integrity analysis (QC) and quantification of nucleic acids. Instead of chips, the TapeStation system uses credit card-sized, disposable Agilent ScreenTape available for RNA, DNA (up to 10kb) or High Molecular Weight DNA (up to 60 kb).<\/p>\n\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ncst-fp-accompaniment\">\n    \n<div class=\"wp-block-ncst-fp-image\">\n  <figure class=\"fancy-paragraph__image-container fancy-paragraph__image-square\">\n          <img \n        decoding=\"async\"\n        class=\"fp-image wp-image-\"\n        src=\"https:\/\/research.ncsu.edu\/gsl\/files\/2022\/10\/Screen-Shot-2022-10-07-at-12.38.14-PM.png\"\n         alt=\"\"               >\n          <\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n    <\/div>\n  \n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Available at Plant Genotyping Facility (PSB)<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"ncst-fancy-paragraph-fifty is-text wp-block-ncst-fancy-paragraph\">\n      \n<div class=\"text-only wp-block-ncst-fp-accompaniment\">\n    \n\n<p><strong>Agilent 4200 Tapestation<\/strong><br><br>The Genotyping lab also operates an Agilent 4200 TapeStation, performing size\/integrity analysis and quantification of DNA samples. With up to 5 samples per run, it is commonly used to size-select next generation sequencing libraries. It is capable of performing narrow size selections from 50bp to 50kb within a few hours. Customers may drop off samples to be run by GSL personnel at\u00a0<em>either<\/em>\u00a0the Main GSL facility (Thomas Hall, Central Campus) or the Plant Genotyping Facility (Plant Sciences Building, Centennial Campus).
