{"id":68,"date":"2020-04-17T15:12:54","date_gmt":"2020-04-17T15:12:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.research.ncsu.edu\/metric-alt\/?page_id=68"},"modified":"2025-01-22T21:10:31","modified_gmt":"2025-01-22T21:10:31","slug":"policies","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/research.ncsu.edu\/metric\/about\/policies\/","title":{"rendered":"METRIC Policies"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">General Policies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All training, consultation and letter of support requests as well as general inquiries should go through the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/labs.ncsu.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lab Management Portal<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Building and room access will be granted to trained users at the graduate student, staff, or faculty level.&nbsp; No keycard access to METRIC labs will be permitted for undergraduate students, as undergraduates should be accompanied by a METRIC team member or a senior member of their group.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Financial Agreements<\/strong> must be established in the Lab Management Portal prior to use of METRIC instrumentation.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All samples submitted to METRIC must be labeled clearly and include a detailed description of what each sample ID is as well as details of any processing protocol used;  <strong>samples will be stored by METRIC for no longer than 1 month after project completion.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>METRIC will provide raw data files to clients for transfer to their own storage device upon completion of their experiments; METRIC assumes no responsibility for data storage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All users agree to <strong>acknowledge METRIC<\/strong> in any publications or grant proposals for which data collected in METRIC is used for.
