Leadership Webinar — Develop Your Leadership Potential: Principles to Being a Successful Leader

June 16, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

There is often a misconception that being a leader is tied to a specific title, hierarchy, or office structure.  However, you can be a leader without having any direct reports or supervisory responsibilities.  True leadership is exhibited in how we treat others, work collaboratively, support our institutional goals and grow as an individual.  In this session, we will discuss a number of key principles related to “open door” leadership including: prioritization; personal transformation; personal discomfort; accountability; and team development. The hope is that the principles discussed are beneficial to you as a research administrator, but also utilized in your “non-research administration” interactions (yes, it is important to have a life outside of work!). Presented by Tony Ventimiglia, Acting Executive Director of Research Administrative Services at Auburn University. Facilitated by the Research Education and Training Team.
