Molly joined the PDU in January 2019. She came from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where she spent a decade managing grants for the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and the National Center for Research Resources. Molly joined the NIH as a Presidential Management Fellow, a program that allowed her to rotate through several offices including the Division of Program Coordination, Planning and Strategic Initiatives, the Office of Policy for Extramural Research Activities, Fogarty International Center, and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

Molly graduated from Duke University in 2001 with a B.A. in Biology. She moved up the road to North Carolina State University, where she completed a Master in Public Administration degree (2006) and PhD in Entomology (2007). While studying at NCSU, she enjoyed being an active member of the W.M. Keck Center for Behavioral Biology.

In her spare time, Molly plays violin with the Raleigh Civic Symphony and volunteers at the Sarah P. Duke Gardens Asiatic Arboretum.
