White papers, concept papers or other brief (2-3 page) project summaries are required in some funding opportunities to obtain an invitation for a full proposal. Getting the Most out of Your Graphics

In this session, we will discuss how to strategically use graphics within your research proposal to communicate complex ideas. We will walk through topics such as planning for graphic space in your proposal, gauging the amount of detail to include in figures, and ensuring the accessibility of your graphics.

Best Practices for Including Extension Services in Research Proposals

With 101 centers, more than 1,100 experts, and a vast network of partnerships, NC State Extension helps connect research and education to communities throughout the state of North Carolina. This network can serve as an effective way to engage important stakeholders, apply and test research in the field, and transfer knowledge to growers and communities. This session will discuss best practices for engaging with Extension during proposal development, providing examples of how to leverage Extension effectively.
