Michelle Frick joins the PDU as a Research Proposal Specialist. She spent the last two years working with the North Carolina Sheriffs’ Association, a non-profit serving all 100 sheriff’s offices in North Carolina. During her time there, Michelle worked with legal staff to write and edit various publications on legislation that impacts law enforcement. She also helped coordinate a number of meetings and events, including regional training classes, the Association’s annual conference, as well as a grant-funded leadership institute for newly-elected sheriffs.
Michelle has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Peace College. After graduating from Peace, she completed the Secondary Education Teacher Licensing Program at Meredith College to earn her North Carolina educator’s license and taught high school English in Wake County Public Schools for nearly six years.
In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family, watch baseball, and travel.
