As a Proposal Developer in the PDU, Reenah Schaffer provides support and guidance for faculty members seeking grant opportunities. Within this role, she assists proposal teams with project timelines, writing non-technical content, editing for style, content, and format, wrangling subcontractors, budget development, and overall proposal packaging.
Reenah joined the PDU after nine years as Administrator for the Center for the Biology of Nematode Parasitism, a North Carolina State University Center, and she began her career at NCSU as a Research Technician for the Forest Biotechnology Group.
She earned her Master’s degree in Microbiology from NCSU in 1993 and has extensive training and experience in technical editing and proposal budget development.
She also enjoys traveling, cooking, and shoe shopping, interests she shares with her husband.
