Due to the three-year project\u00a0 cycle, funding is fully allocated for on-going research. The next call for ROI proposals will be in September 2025. The initiative should have broad impact and involve multiple researchers and collaborators. Click here for <a href=\"https:\/\/myapps.northcarolina.edu\/research\/research-opportunities-initiative\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/myapps.northcarolina.edu\/research\/research-opportunities-initiative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Previous Awardees<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Submitting a Proposal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a&nbsp;<strong>limited submission&nbsp;<\/strong>program. NC State is limited to submitting&nbsp;<strong>one&nbsp;<\/strong>proposal (as the lead institution). The Vice Chancellor\u2019s office is charged with the responsibility of selecting the proposal that will be submitted to the UNC System for each year of the program. NC State\u2019s proposal is selected following an internal competition managed by the Office of Research and Innovation (ORI). The final proposal is submitted by the Vice Chancellor or his designee. Only pre-proposals submitted to ORI via&nbsp;the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/app.smartsheet.com\/b\/publish?EQBCT=fdac741307e44c289d603fa52d88dce5\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/app.smartsheet.com\/b\/publish?EQBCT=fdac741307e44c289d603fa52d88dce5\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>UNC ROI Submitter Dashboard<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;will be prioritized and considered for submission to the UNC System.&nbsp;<strong>Proposals submitted directly to the UNC System will be rejected.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important dates<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Relevant deadlines for the FY2025 cycle of the ROI program are outlined below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>November 2, 2023 at 5 p.m.:&nbsp;<\/strong>Pre-proposals due.
