CVM Clinical Trials Program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Clinical research is an important component of increasing medical knowledge, advancing veterinary practice and improving animal health. In NC State’s College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), researchers conduct trials<\/a> in many areas of study \u2014 ranging from cardiac and neurological issues in animals, to the causes of cancers in dogs, cats and horses, to the management of chronic pain, dermatological ailments, musculoskeletal symptoms and degeneration, as well as behavioral challenges and nutritional factors in disease. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of the clinical trials at CVM are facilitated by the Clinical Studies Core<\/a>, which supports interactions between clinical and basic research groups within the NC State community and expands collaborative relationships with practicing veterinarians, animal owners and industry partners.<\/p>\n\n\n
