$349+ Million in Sponsored Research Awards
NC State is one of only two universities in the nation leading two National Science Foundation Engineering Research Centers and the only university leading three federally funded collaborative institutes.
Facilitating Research and Education
As NC State faculty and administrative support personnel work to further the University’s research and public service mission, SPARCS offers guidance and assistance. We help interpret and apply Federal regulations. We start by providing education and resources that assist the proposal and award process; continue through risk assessments and the negotiations of agreements and subawards; and finally we administer funded projects. With our help, faculty and staff have the freedom to concentrate on their research objectives while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
eRA Project Launched
NC State has formally launched a project to select and implement a new state-of-the-art Electronic Research Administration (eRA) system. The vision of this project is to support and grow NC State’s research enterprise by fostering collaboration, creating efficiencies and increasing the efficacy of compliance activity through a System that is effective for all.
We’ve created a website to increase transparency of this project and make it easy for faculty and staff to find information in one location (unity ID required to log in). To learn more about the project and see the project charter, please go to http://research.ncsu.edu/intranet/era/.
