RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – Responding to demand from consumers and other vehicle owners such as rideshare drivers and carshare operators for ways of sanitizing vehicles due to COVID-19 pandemic worries, Get Spiffy is launching an online store for the sale of do-it-yourself products.
The Triangle startup, which is retooling and rebooting after the pandemic slashed business and led to the furloughing on some 200 employees, is announcing the Spiffy Disinfection Store today.
Through the ecommerce site, customers can “buy the same hospital-grade, EPA COVID-19 effective solutions in more of a do-it-yourself model,” says Get Spiffy CEO Scot Wingo.
“We’re excited that this offering will help our customers deliver peace of mind and minimize the spread of this terrible virus.”
Get Spiffy offers a growing variety of services for vehicle maintenance and moved quickly into sanitization as the pandemic spread in March.
“While Spiffy is in 17 markets and working towards 50+ to cover the entire USA, we have had an incredible inbound demand from traditional fleet partners, rideshare drivers, careshare operators and even consumers that are out of our service areas.”
The “store” comes after Get Spiffy put in place further plans for expansion in a partnership deal with San Francisco-based peer-to-peer car-sharing company, Turo.
“The site features our Spiffy Complete, Spiffy Decontaminator and Spiffy Shield offerings with all the accessories needed to do a self-disinfection on your vehicle,” Wingo explains.
“Additionally, we have ‘how to’ detailed videos that walk the customer through exactly how to use the products and make sure you are hitting the 40 high-touch areas we recommend for a complete vehicle disinfection.”
Get Spiffy services are available in the Triangle, Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle-Tacoma, Tampa, and Washington, DC. Spiffy also offers Fleet Management as a Service™ in Baltimore, Fort Myers, and Newark.
