Inspiring the Next Generation of STEM Leaders

North Carolina Science Olympiad — the largest K-12 STEM competition in the state and the largest program of its kind in the entire nation — is an NC State program that aims to help North Carolina attract and retain students entering STEM degrees and careers. 

Education Interdisciplinary Research Hubs

The College of Education has formed five interdisciplinary research hubs that cut across disciplines to generate creative and innovative solutions to address some of the most pressing challenges in education — including advancing STEM participation, growing civic engagement, reducing reading gaps in low-income schools, ensuring well-being and access in rural communities, and improving teacher retention in North Carolina.
