WIN Applauds biospatial’s Acquisition by ImageTrend

Raleigh, NC — January 7, 2025 — The Wolfpack Investor Network (WIN) is excited to share that biospatial, a Durham, NC-headquartered WIN portfolio company specializing in healthcare data analytics, has been acquired by ImageTrend, which provides software solutions and research for Emergency Medical Services (EMS), fire departments, hospitals, and other healthcare-related organizations. 

biospatial was founded in 2017 by NC State alumnus Jonathan Woodworth, who holds a BA and MA in Electrical Engineering. The company’s leadership also includes NC State alumni COO Josh Walters (BA/MA in Electrical Engineering) and CTO Chris Lunsford (BA in Computer Engineering). 

biospatial’s data and analytics platform enhances healthcare outcomes by facilitating faster and more informed decision-making through data science, making it an attractive acquisition for ImageTrend. biospatial addresses the urgent need for real-time healthcare analytics using AI and large-scale EMS data to improve decision-making and patient outcomes across more than 40 states. The company collects and curates over 100,000 medical records daily and integrates that data into its extensive database of EMS electronic patient care reports leveraging its proprietary HIPAA- and SOC 2-compliant platform. 

WIN was an early investor in biospatial.
