PD Rollout Progress Update

The rollout of RED’s Proposal Development (PD) module is more than halfway complete.

All units from Cycles 1 and 2 — including the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Natural Resources and College of Sciences, among others — have transitioned from PINS to RED PD. And select users in Cycle 3 units have submitted their first PD proposals, as well.

Nearly 400 total proposals have been submitted by over a dozen different units since PD rollout began last fall.

PINS users in the following (Cycle 3) units are actively transitioning to RED PD:

  • College of Design
  • College of Education
  • College of Engineering
  • Wilson College of Textiles

That leaves only two units — the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the Poole College of Management — for the fourth and final rollout cycle. Cycle 4 users have begun attending RED U courses, and all remaining units will continue gradually onboarding to RED PD through the summer.

We expect to have all PINS users transitioned to PD by the beginning of next fall semester — at some point after which PINS will be taken offline. Before PINS is officially sunsetted, we’ll notify all users via email.
