After the GRIP pre-proposal review process, the review committee invited the top 10 proposal teams to submit full proposals.

Additional information about the pre-proposals:

59 preliminary proposals were submitted
Half of the proposal teams were collaborations with RTI International
10 colleges and 52 departments were represented
Over 300 members of NC State faculty were involved in a proposal (~20%)
82 faculty members were involved in more than one proposal
60 individuals from RTI International were involved in at least one proposal
