CRA Exam Prep and Recertification

The Certified Research Administrator (CRA) exam, administered by the Research Administrators Certification Council, is offered twice each year — once in the spring and once in the fall. Becoming a CRA has many benefits, including but not limited to furthering your potential career advancement opportunities.

The CRA Body of Knowledge comprehensively covers all the topics and information you could be tested on in the most current iteration of the exam.

The Research Administrators Certification Council sponsors numerous opportunities to review for the CRA exam.

The following sources provide additional opportunities and resources to help you study and prepare for the CRA exam. More sources will be added as they become available; to suggest study resources or other opportunities to help prospective CRAs prepare for the exam, email research-training@ncsu.edu.

All of our content managed through REPORTER can be used toward CRA recertification. Upon completion of a course, certificates are sent via email. To search for our resources in REPORTER: Under Catalog, go to Advanced Search and select RES- Office of Research and Innovation. Then turn on the toggle “Only show courses with active Instances.”
