Nadine Wong Named Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research Infrastructure
Wong’s first day with the Office of Research and Innovation is April 1.

Nadine Wong has been hired as NC State’s new assistant vice chancellor for research infrastructure. Her first day with the university will be April 1.
Wong comes to NC State from Duke University’s Office for Translation and Commercialization, where she’s served as the managing director of licensing and strategic initiatives since January 2022.
“I look forward to joining the outstanding team at NC State’s Office of Research and Innovation,” Wong said. “I’m confident that this university’s already-flourishing research enterprise has far from reached its ceiling. Even though NC State’s sponsored research portfolio has seen enormous growth in recent years, I’m excited by the challenge of ensuring that growth continues into the foreseeable future.”

Prior to her current role, Wong spent over 14 years within the research and innovation ecosystem at the University of Michigan, first working in the Office of Technology Transfer before becoming the managing director of the Biointerfaces Institute, in 2016.
She holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from Stanford University and earned her bachelor’s degree from Whittier College.
