What is Research Week?
Research Week at NC State — an annual, campuswide initiative sponsored by the Office of Research and Innovation (ORI) — highlights the research, scholarship and innovation happening across the university.
Throughout the week, ORI and campus partners host events, conversations, showcases, and programs that help faculty, staff, students, and university leaders connect with the people, ideas and resources advancing research at NC State.
This year’s Research Week will feature a town hall with Vice Chancellor Krista Walton, which is tentatively planned for Oct. 20. More information on the entire week’s lineup will be provided as we get closer to Research Week.

What to Expect
If your unit is interested in partnering with ORI on a Research Week event, here’s what to expect.
Submit your event
Partner units submit event details through the Research Week form. If your unit is hosting multiple events, please submit a separate form for each event.
Events may include workshops, panels, presentations, showcases, open houses, resource sessions or networking events.
Earlier submissions allow more time for inclusion in Research Week promotions.
ORI Reviews and Posts Approved Events
ORI will review submissions for basic fit and completeness, add approved events to the NC State calendar, and promote Research Week as a whole.
Please note: Programming must be connected to research, scholarship, innovation, research support or research impact.
Partner Units Own Execution
Partner units are responsible for planning, funding, registration, logistics, speaker coordination, accessibility, and day-of execution for their own events.
Units that would like to talk through their Research Week event(s) may indicate that in the submission form.
