Research Operations Council

The Research Operations Council provides leadership for NC State's research endeavors.

Who We Are

The Research Operations Council (ROC) provides leadership at the college and university level for NC State research endeavors. The council’s monthly meeting agenda is set by the Vice Chancellor of Research and Innovation. Members include the associate dean for research (or comparable chief research officer) from each college, the Vice Chancellor’s senior staff and the University Research Committee’s chair.

Mission

The Research Operations Council provides distributed leadership at the college and university level for research endeavors at NC State University. The ROC contemplates growth opportunities, identifies areas of excellence, catalyzes cross-disciplinary and trans-institutional collaborations, unifies divergent goals and objectives of local research and exploration thrusts with institutional mission and resource priorities. The ROC meets monthly under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor for Office of Research and Innovation who sets the agenda.
