An NC State Startup Company is Commercializing a Natural Enzyme That Helps Farmers Feed The World

To feed a projected world population of 9.1 billion by 2050, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations estimates food production will need to increase by 70 percent.

Meeting the world’s increasing food demands in economically and environmentally sustainable ways is a primary driver for BRI, an agriculture biotechnology company spun out of North Carolina State University (NCSU), and based in the Research Triangle Park in Durham, NC.
