Coworking Spaces
Most startup companies just getting off the ground don't have the funding required to pay for a workspace of their own. Fortunately there are several co-working spaces throughout the Triangle region that offer shared work and meeting space for startup companies, along with access to other resources that support startup growth.
Raleigh Founded – Centennial
For NC State startups that want to stay close to campus, the Office of Research Commercialization offers the use of a co-working office suite available at Raleigh Founded – Centennial to selected companies that have an active option agreement or license agreement in place.
Raleigh Founded – Centennial is a physical space/co-working space located on NC State’s Centennial Campus in the Partners I building and features office suites, conference rooms, a full kitchen, and access to a maker space.
NC State startups are eligible to become Raleigh Founded members and utilize ORC’s office suite and shared meeting spaces, as well as set up their own personal mailbox. Raleigh Founded membership also allows NC State startups access to the extended Raleigh and Triangle innovation and entrepreneur ecosystem including professional service providers, mentors, serial entrepreneurs and investors.

For NC State startups that would like to have a presence in downtown Raleigh, the Office of Research Commercialization offers the opportunity for selected NC State startups that have an active option agreement or license agreement in place to become Raleigh Founded members. This membership enables startups to utilize the co-working space in any Raleigh Founded location.
Raleigh Founded is a physical space/coworking space that is designed to provide an environment that empowers, fosters, and cultivates companies that produce long-term job growth and positive social impact. Raleigh Founded is home to over 70 startup companies and offers these startups access to the extended Raleigh and Triangle innovation and entrepreneur ecosystem including professional service providers, mentors, serial entrepreneurs and investors.
First Flight Venture Center (FFVC)
Hangar6, a new program brought to you by FFVC, is the Research Triangle region’s premier prototyping and design assistance space for technology-based companies. Hangar6 enables designing, building and modeling product prototypes using tools, such as 3D scanners, CO2 lasers, metal fiber lasers, CNC mill, 3D printers and more.
