Special Keynote Address

We were excited to welcome Dr. Tiffany Barnes as our keynote speaker for Research Week at NC State. Dr. Barnes’ presentation highlighted her work of bringing computer science education to teachers, schools and students across the U.S. This talk focused on the importance of recognizing and highlighting the broader impact of your research.

NIH Policy Panel Discussion

The National Institutes of Health is implementing a new Data Management and Sharing Policy that will go into effect for any applications due January 2023 and beyond. During this event, participants had a chance to engage with a panel of experts who shared their knowledge on these policy changes and their impact on the NC State research community.

PDU Lunch and Learn Series

Working Beyond NC State’s Borders
Collaborative research projects will often take teams beyond NC State’s walls – including partnerships with other universities, companies, non-profits, government agencies, and international organizations. In this session, we discussed how to spot issues in the application stage and strategies to pave the way for smoother collaborations down the road.

We enjoyed a special presentation targeted toward research administrators by speakers Tolise Dailey (Duke University) and Tricia Callahan (Emory University). This event was held virtually via Zoom Webinar.
