Bio

Martin works to oversee the strategic development of new ventures, advancing intellectual property, and fostering the growth of startup companies across various sectors. He also serves as Interim Managing Director of the Wolfpack Investor Network and PI of the NSF Mid-Atlantic I-Corps Hub. 

Prior to coming to NC State, Martin led Augment Medical, an NC State startup which he co-founded as a graduate student, through early-stage grant funding and product development. 

Before that time, he worked in both private and university roles supporting commercialization of research through startup support. He holds an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at UNC-Chapel Hill and NC State and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from NC State.
