Pradip Pramanik Promoted to Assistant Vice Chancellor

Pramanik has worked at NC State for 20 years and brings almost four decades of project management and proposal development experience to his new role.

Pradip Pramanik has been promoted to assistant vice chancellor for proposal development.

Pramanik has worked at NC State for 20 years and brings almost four decades of experience in project management and proposal development to his new role. Pramanik joined the university as a proposal developer in 2004, working his way up to director of the Proposal Development Unit (PDU), a position he held from 2014-2021. Pramanik was promoted to executive director in September 2021.

“Pradip and his team in the PDU have been instrumental in fostering the growth and breadth of NC State’s research portfolio,” says Genevieve Garland, chief of staff for the Office of Research and Innovation and a senior associate vice chancellor for research development and operations.

In his new role as an assistant vice chancellor, Pramanik will continue to guide the PDU’s overall strategic direction while expanding its collaboration with colleges, academies and university research initiatives.
