Marilee Combs

As a Creative Services Intern for the NC State Office of Research Commercialization, Marilee assists the New Ventures Marketing team in creating videos, branded content, and motion graphics for startups launched through ORC.

Marilee is currently a student in the Hussman School of Journalism and Media at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is majoring in advertising and public relations and has a second major in communications with a focus on media production. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue a career in content creation or digital marketing.

Marilee is passionate about telling stories through cinematography, photography, and blogging. She also loves listening to The Beatles or Led Zeppelin and incorporating music into her digital work. In her spare time, Marilee enjoys playing guitar, playing in UNC’s drumline, and spending time with her Collie/Aussie dog named Gia.
