Rob Whitehead, Ph.D.

Rob is the NC State Office of Research Commercialization’s Senior Licensing and Germplasm Agreements Associate and manages the intellectual property protection, licensing and commercialization of NC State’s plant portfolio. Rob’s experience includes managing innovation, strategizing intellectual property assets, licensing technologies, and supporting startup company formation.

Rob earned a Ph.D. in Toxicology from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a B.S. in Biochemistry and Biology at Virginia Tech and first joined ORC in 2002.
