Administrative Structure

External Advisory Committee

  • composed of external consultants with expertise at high‐level instrumentation facilities at peer or aspirational peer universities. The EAC meets annually with Directors and university administrators to review annual report of facility activities, budget, capabilities, and services; provide expertise, insight, and recommendations for resolving challenges, identifying service needs, and planning for future growth and development.  Current members:
    • Vicki Wysocki, Chair, School of Chemistry and Biochemistry, College of Sciences Georgia Tech University
    • Andrew Ott, Director of Integrated Molecular Structure Education Research Center (IMSERC), Northwestern University

Executive Committee

  • meets annually to review METRIC, facility budget and expenditures, instrumentation acquisition plans and personnel actions. The EC is composed of the Associate Deans for Research in COS and CALS, the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research Infrastructure, and the Department Heads of Chemistry and of Molecular and Structural Biochemistry.

User Advisory Committees

  • Each core discipline within METRIC has assembled a user advisory committee and meets quarterly with the Lead Research Scientists in each core discipline to review facility activities, guide facility management, and suggest growth areas.
