Financial Agreements

METRIC requires pre-approved financial agreements. This feature in our Lab Management portal facilitates PI authorization for spending of grant funds, start-up funds, or other funding sources and provides business officers at the college and departmental levels to track funds allocated to service centers for work in progress.  Please see the instructions below for creating a financial agreement.

Creating a METRIC Financial Agreement

NOTE: These instructions are for NC State PIs only.

PI-Initiated Financial Agreement Request

Step 1: Login with Unity ID at labs.ncsu.edu

Step 2: Select “Request New Agreement”

Step 3: Select “Molecular Education, Technology, and Research Innovation Center (METRIC)”

Step 4: Provide the requested information

Step 5: Add participants (students/post-docs/staff) authorized to spend these funds

Step 6: “Send Agreement Request”

Student-Initiated Financial Agreement Request

Note: PIs must login to the Lab Management Portal and approve agreement requests (their own or students)

Step 1: Email notification of agreement request

Step 2: Login with Unity ID at labs.ncsu.edu

Step 3: Select Project tab (you will see the pending agreement in the Projects tab)

Step 4: Select the pending Agreement Request, Provide the requested information and create agreement
