NC State Education Graduate Student Earns Obenauf Award for Research
Kayla Norville ’14 MED, a doctoral student in the NC State College of Education’s learning and teaching STEM program, has received the Dr. Patricia A. Obenauf Graduate Student Research Presentation Award. This peer-reviewed, merit-based honor acknowledges outstanding contributions to research by graduate students in the Mid-Atlantic Association for Science Teacher Education (ASTE).
Norville presented her research Cooperating Teachers’ Influence on Pre-service Science Teachers’ Pedagogical Content Knowledge Development at the Mid-Atlantic ASTE regional conference Sept. 28-29, 2018.
She will receive a monetary award to cover her travel expenses to attend the 2019 International ASTE Conference in January as part of the Obenauf recognition.
